Washington guard Markelle Fultz won't play Saturday against USC, and is unlikely to return for the Pac-12 tournament, coach Lorenzo Romar told Christian Caple of The Tacoma News Tribune.
Fultz sat out the last two contests because of knee soreness, and missed a pair of games before that for the same reason.
The freshman sensation is averaging 23.2 points, 5,9 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game. With the NBA draft awaiting him, it's unlikely Fultz will play another game in the NCAA.
Washington takes a 9-20 record into the regular-season finale against the Trojans, and needs a miraculous Pac-12 tournament title to crack the NCAA tournament field.
