Report: Foster threatened hospital worker, asked 'do you know who I am?'
Details have emerged about the hospital confrontation that resulted in top linebacker prospect Reuben Foster being sent home from the scouting combine.
Foster was at a hospital awaiting an exam, likely an MRI, and grew frustrated with how long the process was taking, according to Robert Klemko of The MMQB.
Foster then used the infamous "do you know who I am?" line to try to get speedier attention.
A male hospital worker told Foster he would have to wait his turn, which resulted in Foster threatening to put his hands on the man.
The two had a heated exchange, though it appears no physical contact was involved.
The decision was then made by NFL higher-ups to send Foster home from the combine.
Foster wasn't going to participate in drills at the combine because he's recovering from recent shoulder surgery, but now he won't get the chance to interview with teams or meet the media. Now he'll have questions about his maturity and attitude to answer when he sits down with teams for future one-on-one interviews.
Foster won the Dick Butkus Award as college football's best linebacker in 2016. Prior to Friday's incident, he was widely expected to be a first-round pick.
