Want one stat that demonstrates just how athletic this year's class of tight ends is compared to previous classes?
6 of the top 15 Broad Jumps ever by a Tight End at the #NFLCombine were done today by this class of Tight Ends.

The top three broad jump scores posted in the past decade by a tight end were all put up Saturday by members of the 2017 class:
Player | College | Score |
---|---|---|
Bucky Hodges | Virginia Tech | 11-foot-2 |
David Njoku | Miami | 11-foot-1 |
George Kittle | Iowa | 11-feet |
Hodges followed it up by posting a score of 39 inches in the vertical leap, the sixth-best leap of the past decade by a tight end.
There are years in which no tight end is drafted in the first round. This year's draft could potentially see as many as three or four players go off the board at the position.
