Larry Sanders teases NBA return: 'Need my goggles back'
After weeks of speculation and workouts, Larry Sanders is either trolling basketball twitter, or he's genuinely under the impression that he has a job lined up for his NBA comeback.
Sanders, who hasn't played an NBA game since December 2014, announced in January that he was planning a return to the court. Since that announcement, the big man has reportedly worked out for, or met with, the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, and Los Angeles Lakers.
The defending champion Cavs might make the most sense, given that Cleveland signed Andrew Bogut for his rim protection, only to lose the veteran center to a broken leg a minute into his Cavs tenure.
In five season with the Milwauke Bucks, who selected Sanders 15th overall in the 2010 NBA Draft, the 28-year-old averaged 6.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks in just under 20 minutes per game.
