FBI Director James Comey's testimony to the House Intelligence Committee on Monday included a somewhat bizarre moment in which Comey stated his hatred for the New England Patriots.
"I hate the New England Patriots. No matter who they play, I'd like them to lose," Comey said in an attempt to use the Patriots as a metaphor for why Russia may have aided Donald Trump during the 2016 election.

In this metaphor, Hillary Clinton is the Patriots and Russia is Comey.
It was a weird choice of words for Comey, and perhaps particularly notable because of Trump's friendship with Bill Belichick and Tom Brady.
