Redskins propose rule allowing teams to opt out of Color Rush
The Washington Redskins hate Color Rush as much as you do.
The NFL announced a list of 15 rule proposals for the upcoming season on Thursday night and that list was accompanied by six bylaw proposals. Among them was a request from the Redskins to allow teams to opt out of having to wear Color Rush jerseys when they play on Thursday Night Football.
The Redskins were one of the few teams who were exempt from wearing the one-color unis in 2016. Washington did not play on Thursday Night Football. Instead, they faced the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.
However, they were issued an all-yellow look, one they would likely have to wear in 2017 if they are scheduled a Thursday game.
The Color Rush look has drawn mixed reviews from both fans and teams. The Redskins do not own mixed feelings on the subject, however.
