Charlie McAvoy and Clayton Keller played the role of heroes as the two converted in the second overtime to give Boston University a 4-3 win over North Dakota on Friday.
Nearly halfway into the second overtime, Keller - an Arizona Coyotes prospect - picked up the puck, showing great patience before spotting McAvoy at the side of the Fighting Hawks goal and feeding him with a perfect pass for an easy tap-in goal.
For McAvoy - a Boston Bruins first-rounder - the goal was his second point of the evening and helped push his team to the next round where they will meet the winner of Minnesota-Duluth and Ohio State.
