Russell Westbrook added another batch of late-game heroics to his magnificent 2016-17 catalogue Monday night, spearheading a 14-0 run for his Oklahoma City Thunder in the final three-plus minutes to lead them past the Dallas Mavericks.
Westbrook - who had 12 of those 14 points and accounted for nine of his team's 11 field-goal attempts in that final stretch - capped it off with this go-ahead pull-up jumper from the free-throw line.
The Mavs, who had led 91-78 with 3:30 to play, were out of timeouts, and Westbrook's shot held up as the game-winner when Harrison Barnes' last-ditch 3-pointer clanked off side rim.
Westbrook finished with 37 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. The Mavs clinched their first losing season in 17 years.
