If CBS has its way, a big change could be coming to its lead NFL broadcasting team.
The TV network is looking to replace longtime announcer Phil Simms with Tony Romo, if the Dallas Cowboys quarterback opts for retirement, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Simms and Jim Nantz have led CBS' NFL coverage since 2004.
Romo reportedly believes his options for the 2017 season are to play for the Houston Texans or retire, with the belief being he'd have his pick of TV analyst jobs.
FOX is among the other networks reportedly interested in signing the 37-year-old pivot.
