Roman Reigns becomes 2nd Superstar to beat Undertaker at WrestleMania
23-2.
History was made Sunday night at WrestleMania 33, as Roman Reigns became the second WWE Superstar to ever beat The Undertaker on the grandest stage of them all, joining Brock Lesnar (WrestleMania 30).
It took a number of spears from Reigns, but 'Taker's shoulders eventually stayed down for good as 75,000 members of the WWE Universe at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., watched in awe.
It was a passing of the torch, in a sense, as the two had gone back and forth in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania, with both claiming they should be considered the "Big Dog," and that the ring was their yard.
In Sunday's match, Reigns used every spear and superman punch he had left in his arsenal on "The Deadman," but 'Taker still kept kicking out, frustrating the former Shield member.
During the final few moments, Undertaker egged on Reigns to finish him off, similar to what Shawn Michaels had done to him years earlier at WrestleMania 26.
Gaining momentum by vaulting off the ropes, Reigns built up enough force for one last gigantic spear, giving himself the victory.
