Report: Bills unlikely to pick up Watkins' 5th-year option
The Buffalo Bills are unlikely to pick up Sammy Watkins' fifth-year option prior to the May 2 deadline, Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News reports.
Watkins is recovering from foot surgery and has dealt with numerous ailments throughout his professional career.

It's still very possible that the Bills and Watkins agree upon a new contract before he hits free agency next spring.
When healthy, Watkins has been the Bills' most dangerous option in the passing game. However, he hasn't played a full season since his rookie year, fighting through multiple foot injuries.
Last season, Watkins recorded 28 receptions for 430 yards and two touchdowns.
Buffalo selected Watkins fourth overall in the 2014 NFL Draft.
