WWE Hall of Famer and AEW commentator Jim Ross has weighed in on the popular Netflix documentary series "Tiger King" and its star, fellow Oklahoman Joe Exotic.

Asked about Exotic on the latest episode of WFNZ's "Mac Attack" podcast, Ross pointed out similarities between the former G.W. Exotic Animal Park operator and some independent wrestlers.

"He reminds me of a failed independent wrestler who cannot get booked and he blames it on everybody else - his bad knee, his bad elbow, the prejudice of the booker," Ross said. "He's an idiot, and now there's GoFundMe pages to get his ass out of prison. Can you believe that?"

Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, was sentenced in January to 22 years in prison after being found guilty on multiple charges, including two counts of murder-for-hire.

The 57-year-old Exotic has ties to professional wrestling, having worked as a commentator for NWA Texoma, but Ross said they don't know each other.
