VIDEO: Pierre Jackson sets D-League record with 58 points
We're gonna stop just saying "Free Pierre Jackson" and instead start a #FreePierreJackson movement and also call every single NBA front office and scream it into answering machines.
Not only is Jackson a D-League All-Star and the league's leading scorer by a country mile (he's averaging 30.2 points, 23 percent more than the next highest average), but he was recently named the league's number one prospect.
Of course, all of that pales in comparison to what the Idaho Stampede guard did on Tuesday night, when he set a D-League record by scoring 58 points against the Texas Legends. 58 points. 58!!
Jackson played 45 minutes in the contest, shooting a ridiculous 24-of-33, hitting 7-of-13 from deep, and adding six rebounds and eight assists for good measure. The previous record was 53, shared by Morris Almond and Will Conroy. Feel free to forget those names now, because they are not Pierre Jackson.
The 5-foot-11 Jackson is now averaging 30.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 6.3 assists, shooting 46.3 percent from the field and 36.9 percent on threes.
Free this man.

And no, Jackson can't just be called up by the New Orleans Pelicans or signed by another NBA team. It's complicated, as explained below.
