The Atlanta Hawks took down the Indiana Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Monday night by a score of 107-97 to take a 3-2 first-round series lead.

The Hawks controlled the tempo for much of the game - they led by 21 at halftime, and by as by as many as 30 points in the third quarter. The Pacers made a run in the latter stages of the game, but it was too little too late.

The eighth-seeded Hawks, the only playoff team with a losing record in the regular season, have a chance to eliminate the top-seeded Pacers on Thursday, and history isn't on Indiana's side: they're 0-10 in best-of-seven series when trailing 3-2

Star Performer

Hawks guard Shelvin Mack came off the bench to give Atlanta some offense at moments they really needed it, pacing the team with 20 points on 5-of-9 shooting, filling out his stat line with a team-high five assists, three rebounds, and two steals.

Mack scored seven of the Hawks' 20 fourth quarter points.

Turning Point

Hawks forward Mike Scott entered the game with 31 seconds remaining in the first quarter, but it wasn't until the second frame that he made his impact.

Scott scored all 17 of his points in the game in the second quarter, knocking down five 3-pointers on five attempts. The Hawks put the Pacers away in the second quarter, outscoring them 41-19 in 12 minutes.
