Ducks change power-play personnel, pays off immediately with opening goal in Game 3
Desperate for goals against the stingy Los Angeles Kings defensive front, Anaheim Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau altered his lineup for Game 3. Among the myriad of lineup changes: the Ducks started Frederik Andersen over Jonas Hiller, and inserted talented forward Nick Palmieri and dangerous power-play threat Sami Vatanen into the lineup.
The Vatanen addition paid immediate dividends for the Ducks in the first period, as he and Cam Fowler combined to initiate a pretty around-the-horn passing sequence the culminated in Corey Perry's game-opening power-play goal.
