Report: Mike Gillis, Darcy Regier and Jay Feaster among candidates for Capitals GM
Rafael Suanes-US PRESSWIRE / Reuters
The Washington Capitals are in need of a new general manager, and three candidates appear to have jumped to the front of the pack in the mind of owner Ted Leonsis.
All three were released from their former positions over the course of the past season (Gillis from the Vancouver Canucks, Regier from the Buffalo Sabres and Feaster from the Calgary Flames), and with a head coach to hire and questions abounding in terms of the makeup of the team, whoever gets the job will have to hit the ground running.
