Report: Following foot surgery, Joel Embiid's agent controlling which teams get medical info
Which team lands Joel Embiid in the NBA Draft on Thursday may no longer be a matter of who is the least risk-averse, but rather who Embiid and his camp want him to land with.
At least, that's the word coming from ESPN's Jeff Goodman, who reports that Embiid's agent is controlling which teams have access to his client's medical information ahead of the draft. The goal with such a strategy would be to ensure Embiid lands in a spot his camp likes.
Joel Embiid's agent, Arn Tellem, is controlling which teams get medical info on his client in order to steer Embiid to certain teams.

The Milwaukee Bucks are already on the record as saying they won't be taking Embiid with the No. 2 pick, while the Philadelphia 76ers remain interested at No. 3. ESPN draft guru Chad Ford has Embiid sliding all the way to Boston at No. 6 in his latest mock draft, however.
While this may seem like a shady practice, it's probably not all that rare, especially with a powerful agent like Arn "Soulja Boy" Tellem running things.
