The Knicks selected Greek forward, via the D-League, Thanasis Antetokounmpo with the No. 51 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft on Thursday night.
The brother of Milwaukee Bucks 2013-14 rookie sensation Giannis Antetokounmpo, Thanasis had a solid D-League season while his brother was learning the NBA ropes. Like his brother, he's very long, quick and athletic, but will enter the league relatively raw and inexperienced. Expect him to split his time between the NBA and the D-League as he continues to get his feet wet and learn the finer points of the game.
Antetokounmpo is the older brother of the Bucks' standout, but needed some time to develop to ensure he would be chosen in this draft. After getting an extra year of basketball under his belt, he's ready to contribute at the next level.
