The Toronto Blue Jays are trying to stay afloat while three huge bats recover from injuries, and manager John Gibbons revealed the urgency of getting them healthy and back into the lineup before a Wednesday clash with the Boston Red Sox.

Gibbons added both Edwin Encarnacion (quad) and Adam Lind (foot) are ahead of schedule and could return at some point next week.

The Blue Jays, 4-5 since Lind went down and 5-7 since Encarnacion hit the disabled list, are losing ground in the American League East standings to Baltimore.
