Falcons' Peria Jerry retires

The Atlanta Falcons announced on Thursday that defensive tackle Peria Jerry has retired. 

The Falcons re-signed Jerry in March, but it appears he has had a change of heart about his playing career.

The 29-year-old was a first-round pick in 2009 and totaled just 5 1/2 sacks and 51 tackles in five seasons.
