Penn State, UCF still planning to make trip to Ireland despite volcano eruption
Even a volcano doesn't seem to have the power to slow down the college football season. With UCF and Penn State set to open the season with a game in Ireland next Saturday, their travel plans were put into question by the possibility of a volcano erupting in Iceland.
The Bardarbunga volcano has apparently begun to erupt and volcanic ash could lead to restrictions in air travel, but as of now that doesn't seem to have affected the travel plans of the two teams.

UCF also plans to leave on Tuesday and head coach George O'Leary said that he's not concerned with things out of his control.
"In all of my life, I never worry about things I have no control over," O'Leary told UCFSports.com. "I have no control over a volcano, electricity, hurricanes. I don't worry about them. We have alternative plans. If that occurs, then that's something that occurs. You can't fly, you can't fly. Right now we're getting ready to hit somebody else and get to Ireland."
Clearly not too perturbed by the situation, O'Leary offered a comedic take when asked what the alternate plans could be.
"I think we're going to move the game to Iceland," O'Leary said.
