Timberwolves head coach Flip Saunders says he's not letting Anthony Bennett shoot 3's

Despite the success of Kevin Love, Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Flip Saunders isn't looking for newcomer Anthony Bennett to follow a similar path into becoming a stretch four.

Bennett struggled mightily in every facet of the game last year, but it's expected that the 6-foot-8 tweener forward holds promise as a smallball four. It seems, however, that Saunders isn't willing to go down that route, hoping to groom Bennett into a traditional four instead.

Then again, Bennett no longer launching threes may be a good thing. He only connected on 24.5 percent of his three-point tries last season, though he didn't fare much better on two-pointers. 

If Bennett does figure to slot in at power forward, he faces competition in Gorgui Dieng and Thaddeus Young for the starting spot, who both project to be better players than Bennett next season.
