Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz was evasive when discussing left tackle Brian Scherff's knee injury on the Big Ten teleconference on Tuesday.
Kirk Ferentz said Brandon Scherff is day-to-day. Doesn't mention surgery. Says Drew Ott will be ready to go.

Scherff sustained a knee injury during the Hawkeyes' win over Ball State on Saturday. Although the media reported that Scherff underwent knee surgery, Ferentz would not confirm.
Ferentz did confirm that Drew Ott, who, as Mark Moorehouse of The Gazette reported, was injured in a scooter accident Monday morning, will be ready for the rivalry game against Iowa on Saturday.
