Paul Pogba reveals he's close to extension with Juventus

Paul Pogba established himself as one of the premier midfielders in the world since his move to Juventus from Manchester United, and now it appears the 21-year-old French international is on the verge of extending his stay with the Italian champions.

“We are in talks to extend with the club and I should meet my representatives soon,” Pogba told Téléfoot.

While Pogba has performed at an elite level since his arrival in 2012, his weekly wages suggest otherwise. Juventus revealed the annual salaries of its players last week, with Pogba coming in at just £23,000 ($37,392 US) a week.

A new deal with the Italian giants should see Pogba's weekly wage hover around £100,000 ($162,575 US), since his presence on the pitch is comparable to the world's top midfielders and earned him the Young Player Award at the 2014 World Cup.
