Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price is on track to be back in the crease once the puck drops for NHL preseason games, according to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.
Price suffered a season-ending knee injury during Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals, and later admitted suffering from heavy fatigue after a long season that included a gold-medal win at the Olympics. The 27-year-old posted 34 wins and a career-high .927 save percentage last season.
Montreal's first preseason game is set for Sept. 23 against the rival Boston Bruins.
