The Motorsports Group to enter Sprint Cup in 2015

The Motorsports Group (TMG) announced Monday evening that they’ll be entering the Sprint Cup Series starting next season.

The team currently fields two cars in the Nationwide Series, and has a roster of part-time drivers including Matt Dibenedetto, Ryan Ellis, Matt Frahm, Josh Wise, Josh Reaume and Carl Long.

Their Cup Series ride will be the No. 30 Chevrolet SS. They are currently staffing their team for drivers, a pit crew team and sponsors.

Like every small team trying to make it in NASCAR’s top series, TMG does not plan to be a “start and park” team, and will build their own engines.

There was no announcement regarding the future of their Nationwide teams.
