Ever dreamed of kicking the game-winning field goal for a Division I FBS school? Now's your chance.

The Fresno State Bulldogs will hold open tryouts to be a kicker on the football team.

The tryouts are open to all full-time Fresno State students. The school is looking for "interested students with past kicking experience," and they're looking for them immediately. The coaching staff will meet with the prospective kickers on Thursday.

The Bulldogs (0-3) play Southern Utah (0-3) on Saturday night.

Fresno State kicker Colin McGuire left the team earlier this month, citing personal reasons. Walk-on freshman Kody Kroening took over as the placekicker.

Kroening missed the first field-goal attempt of his career (from 30 yards out) in Saturday's 55-19 loss to Nebraska. He converted a 27-yard attempt later in the game.

The Bulldogs have been outscored 166-59 in their first three contests.
