New York Yankees outfielder Carlos Beltran has reportedly left the team to deal with a personal matter.
The team has not released any information about his possible return, according to ESPN New York.
Beltran has had a tough first year in New York, hitting .236/.303/.406 (99 OPS+) while playing a limited 108 games due to lingering bone spurs in his elbow. He is scheduled to have surgery after the season.
