Devils release Kaberle, Fedetenko from training camp tryouts

The New Jersey Devils cut ties with a couple veterans Tuesday, releasing defenseman Tomas Kaberle and forward Ruslan Fedetenko from training camp tryouts according to Tom Gulitti of The Bergen Record.

Neither played in the NHL last season, and both were considered long shots to make the squad.

Scott Gomez, another training camp invite, remains with the team and could be in the mix to be in the lineup on opening night.
