AC Milan have been dealt an injury blow ahead of their Serie A fixture versus Chievo on Saturday.

The club announced that attacking midfielder Jeremy Menez is dealing with "inflammation to the tendon in the area behind his left knee."

Menez, whose season is off to an impressive start having notched three goals in Milan's first six matches of the campaign, reportedly pulled out of the team's training session on Thursday and left the facility with a team doctor.

He'll undergo tests ahead of the match to determine the extent of the injury, but Milan will surely be hoping for optimistic news as Menez is a key figure in the club's bid to keep pace with Serie A's top teams.
