Drew Brees reaches 40,000 career passing yards with Saints

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees reached 40,000 career passing yards in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brees, who signed with the Saints in 2006, entered the game with 52,284 passing yards for his career (which includes his first five seasons with the San Diego Chargers), a total that ranks fourth on the NFL's all-time list.
