Report: Kenny Dalglish to present Luis Suarez with European Golden Shoe

Luis Suarez is reportedly set to receive the European Golden Shoe from the manager that brought him to Liverpool from Ajax for a transfer fee of £22 million back in January 2011.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Anfield icon Kenny Dalglish will travel to Barcelona this week to present Suarez with the prestigious award, which is given every year to the leading goalscorer in league matches from each of the top divisions in European football.

Suarez will be sharing this year's award with Cristiano Ronaldo, as the pair each notched 31 goals in 2013-14 for Liverpool and Real Madrid, respectively.

Dalglish was Suarez's manager for the Uruguayan striker's first 18 months at Anfield, during which time El Canibal scored 21 goals. Brendan Rodgers then took charge of Liverpool as Suarez went on to notch 30 and 31 goals under the Welsh coach.
