Kenny Dalglish presents Luis Suarez with European Golden Shoe

In a moment that surely triggered mixed emotions among Liverpool supporters, Wednesday saw Luis Suarez receive the European Golden Shoe from Kenny Dalglish, the manager who brought the Uruguayan striker to Anfield in January 2011.

Suarez is sharing the prestigious award with Cristiano Ronaldo, who also scored 31 goals throughout the 2013-14 campaign. The award is given every year to the leading goalscorer in league matches from each of the top divisions in European football.

El Canibal's first 18 months at Liverpool were spent under Dalglish's guidance, during which time he notched a total of 18 goals. Suarez reportedly asked for Dalglish to be involved in the ceremony, and here's what he had to say upon receiving the European Golden Shoe:
