Iguodala on potential bench role: 'Do I care? I don’t know. That’s a good question'
Andre Iguodala has started every game he has played in his NBA career, but that could soon change once the season begins at the end of October.
The Golden State Warriors are contemplating the idea of bringing Iguodala off the bench and starting Harrison Barnes at small forward, which is exactly what will happen in the Warriors' next preseason game Thursday.
To further add to the speculation, Warriors general manager Bob Myers said in a radio interview Wednesday that's it's a possibility Barnes comes out of camp as the starter.
Iguodala appeared to be indifferent regarding his potential role this season when asked about the situation.
"Do I care? I don’t know. That’s a good question," Iguodala said, as relayed from Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle. "I’m just playing ball. You try not to make a big deal out of it ... I’m trying not to make it a story this year, and I’m trying to win a championship."
Iguodala continues to put up across-the-board production, while Barnes followed up his promising 2012-13 rookie campaign with a disappointing sophomore season last year. See the stack below for more on Golden State's potential rotations.
