BERLIN, Oct 17, 2014 (AFP) - French star Franck Ribery is on the verge of making his comeback to action, according to Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola.
Ribery, 31, has played only 22 minutes all season due to a knee problem but having trained this week, Spaniard Guardiola said he could even feature against Werder Bremen on Saturday.
"Franck has had two good training sessions yesterday (Thursday) and today without feeling pain in his tendon. That's great news for us and him," said Guardiola.
"There's one last training session tomorrow during which I'll talk to the doctor and the physio. He may be ready to take his place in the squad."
Ribery's only first team action this season came against Stuttgart on September 13 when he even scored.
