Kyle Orton, Sammy Watkins push Bills to last-second victory over Vikings

Kyle Orton led a dramatic drive in the fourth quarter to give the Buffalo Bills a last-second 17-16 victory over the Minnesota Vikings.

Buffalo trailed for the entirety of the game until Orton found rookie wideout Sammy Watkins for a two-yard touchdown with one second remaining. The Bills moved to 4-3, while the Vikings fell to 2-5.

  • The Bills lost their two top running backs to injury on Sunday. Fred Jackson left the game with a groin injury, while C.J. Spiller left on a cart with a reported broken collarbone. Neither player returned and Anthony Dixon took carries in their absence.
  • Jackson will reportedly undergo a MRI on Monday.
  • Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen was outstanding in a losing effort, recording eight tackles, three sacks and two quarterback hits.

  • Teddy Bridgewater threw his first career touchdown pass to Cordarrelle Patterson on a 4-yard score, giving the Vikings a 10-7 lead. Minnesota led 13-10 at halftime.
