Percy Harvin addresses feud with Seahawks, admits to frustration with run-heavy offense

New York Jets wide receiver Percy Harvin was appreciative of his new environment Monday, and spoke on a number of topics that he had yet to address since being traded by the Seattle Seahawks on Friday.

Harvin denied having anger management issues and downplayed his feud with former Seahawks teammates Doug Baldwin, Golden Tate and Russell Wilson.

Although Harvin said he has no conflict with members of the Seahawks, he admitted to being irritated within Seattle's run-heavy offensive scheme.

"It definitely was (frustrating). ... I wanted to get downfield a little bit more," Harvin told reporters

It was widely reported that the Seahawks made the decision to trade Harvin after pulling himself out of Week 6's game against the Dallas Cowboys. Harvin denied that Monday.

In the latter half of the press conference, Jets head coach Rex Ryan took the floor, primarily to address Harvin's role on the team.

"I think it's safe to say he's gonna return kicks, and then we'll see what else he can do," Ryan said to reporters

Harvin is easily the Jets' most talented offensive player, but it appears that he will gradually adjust to his new playbook. It's likely that he'll make his debut with the team against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

New York hopes that Harvin will help propel the 1-6 Jets out of a six-game losing streak. The Jets are mired in last place in the AFC East.
