The Buffalo Bills have placed running back C.J. Spiller on IR-recall.

Spiller suffered a broken collarbone in Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings, and was expected to miss the remainder of the season, but Tuesday's move opens the door for a possible return to the team as soon as Wednesday, Dec. 3. He would then be eligible to play in Weeks 16 and 17.

With that said, it is possible that the impending free agent never suits up for the Bills again, though with the team still in the playoff hunt, this move makes a lot of sense.

Spiller turned 69 carries into 287 yards this season, adding 14 receptions for 109 yards.
