Chargers' Brandon Flowers ruled out vs. Broncos

Stopping Peyton Manning is difficult enough with a healthy secondary.

The San Diego Chargers won't have that luxury after cornerback Brandon Flowers was ruled out for Thursday's game against the Denver Broncos with a concussion.

Flowers has been one of the best cornerbacks in the league through the first half of the season, often matching up against his opponent's top receiver. 

Fellow cornerback Jason Verrett and linebacker Tourek Williams are questionable, while outside linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu remains doubtful.
