Torii Hunter: 'There's definitely a good chance I will play again'

Torii Hunter has yet to give serious thought towards his future, but the 39-year-old Detroit Tigers outfielder doesn't seem overly enthusiastic about the prospect of retirement.

"I haven't even thought about (retiring)," Hunter told Chris Iott of MLive.com. "I'm traveling as we speak to watch my three boys play college football. There's definitely a good chance I will play again though."

Hunter signed a two-year, $26-million deal with the Tigers prior to the 2013 season, and would prefer to remain in Detroit if he opts to play next year.

"I really want to play with the Tigers, but if not I understand," Hunter said. "Baseball will keep going with or without you."

A five-time All-Star, Hunter enjoyed another solid campaign in 2014, hitting .286/.319/.446 (111 OPS+) with 17 home runs and 33 doubles over 142 games.
