2010 - Raiders score franchise-high 59 points in victory over Broncos

The Oakland Raiders set a franchise record for most points scored in a single game with a 59-14 thrashing of the Denver Broncos.

Third-year running back Darren McFadden rushes for a career-high 165 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries, and adds a 19-yard touchdown catch for the Raiders.

"We didn't know that we were going to score that many points, but we know that we have a good team and that we can," McFadden says after the game.

2005 - Mike Martz done for the season

St. Louis Rams head coach Mike Martz announces during a press conference that he will miss the remainder of the season due to a bacterial infection of a heart valve.

Martz says he expected to receive clearance to return to coaching, but was advised by his doctor that his best chance at recovery was to sit out.

"She laid it out pretty good this morning," Martz says. "I was a little stunned."

Martz does not return to the sidelines for the Rams, as he is relieved of his duties on Jan. 2, 2006.
