Report: Chargers' Verrett could miss significant time with shoulder injury

San Diego Chargers cornerback Jason Verrett may be forced to miss some significant time after leaving Thursday night's game against the Denver Broncos with a shoulder injury, according to FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo.
Verrett entered the game already dealing with a shoulder issue and, according to the report, may have worsened the injury by playing.
Further tests should soon confirm just how long Verrett will be sidelined. It is certainly a big loss for the Chargers' secondary either way, as the rookie's high level of play quickly earned him a role within the defense.
