Laurent Koscielny out another 4 weeks with chronic Achilles problem
Just when it seemed like Arsenal's injury crisis couldn't get any worse, Friday saw manager Arsene Wenger provide a grim update regarding Laurent Koscielny's Achilles injury.
Giving Wenger the benefit of the doubt, Koscielny, who was released from the French national team's squad during the international break after the side's medical staff discovered acute tendinitis in both Achilles tendons, will now miss Arsenal's next three Premier League fixtures as well as their Champions League clash against Anderlecht.
Arsenal's first match after the next international break comes against Manchester United on Nov. 22, and Wenger will obviously be hoping Koscielny is then available to be deployed alongside Per Mertesacker, who now stands with Calum Chambers as the Gunners' only healthy centre-backs.
