Report: Redskins satisfied with guards Lauvao, Chester

Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

The Washington Redskins are sticking with Chris Chester and Shawn Lauvao as their starting guards for the time being, according to Rich Tandler of RealRedskins.com.

Lauvao, who signed with the Redskins in March as a free agent, has struggled with injuries and is not living up to expectations. Chester has also been criticized for his inconsistent play.

However, Tandler reports that Redskins coaches are much happier with Lauvao and Chester than outsiders are, and may not view potential replacements Spencer Long and Josh LeRibeus as upgrades.
