The NHL presented Los Angeles Kings center Jeff Carter, Edmonton Oilers goaltender Ben Scrivens, and New York Islanders forward Frans Nielsen with the highest weekly honors Monday morning.

Carter earned the league's "first star," scoring two goals and six points in two Kings' victories. With young guns Tyler Toffoli and Tanner Pearson, Carter's That 70's Line has accounted for 16 of the team's 21 goals this season.

Scrivens was named second star, backstopping the Oilers to three straight wins this week. He stopped 81 of the 88 shots he faced and improved his record to 3-3.

Finally, Nielsen notched his first-career hat trick Saturday night and finished the week tied with a league-best four goals.
