DeMarco Murray, Tom Brady among NFL Player of the Month award winners

Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for October.

Murray absolutely shredded opposing defenses this past month, rushing for 520 yards and two touchdowns in four games, while adding 17 receptions for 171 yards.

The 2013 Pro Bowler is off to a historic start this season, rushing for more than 100 yards in eight consecutive games.

New England Patriots pigskin launcher Tom Brady took home AFC Offensive Player of the Month honors.

Brady, after a rough start to the season, absolutely exploded in October, completing 100-of-144 passes for 1,268 yards, 14 touchdowns and zero interceptions.

The Patriots posted a 4-0 record this past month and Brady is the biggest reason why.

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller claimed the AFC Defensive Player of the Month award.

Miller has been the most explosive element of the Broncos' revamped defense, racking up seven sacks, 14 tackles and one pass defended as the team posted a 4-0 record in October.

Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen added the NFC Defensive Player of the Month award to his mantle.

Griffen feasted on opposing quarterbacks in October, leading the NFC in sacks with six, while adding 20 tackles and a forced fumble.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver/kick returner Jarvis Landry and New Orleans Saints kicker Shayne Graham won the AFC and NFC Special Teams Player of the Month awards, respectively.

Landry averaged 35.6 yards per kickoff return, while Graham was a perfect 9-for-9 on field goals, while adding another nine PATs. 

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins took home the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month award.

Watkins, the fourth-overall pick at this year's draft, caught 21 passes for a rookie-best 393 yards and three touchdowns in October.

Baltimore Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley captured the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month award.

Mosley racked up 42 tackles and two interceptions in October.
