Traveling Maple Leafs fans litter Buffalo ice with scarves during blowout loss

Litterbug Toronto Maple Leafs fans love to express displeasure with their team's performance by throwing apparel onto the ice. Also, frozen breakfast pastries, but that's for another blowout loss.

The Buffalo Sabres - y'know, that historically bad team doing its utmost to make the Philadelphia 76ers look competitive - crushed in the Maple Leafs' skulls and feasted on the delicious goo inside during a lopsided victory on Saturday night at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo.

As is the case any time the Leafs visit Buffalo, or Detroit, there was a large number of Leafs fans in attendance, some of whom elected to throw scarves onto the ice in protest of their team's shoddy play.

According to John Vogl of the Buffalo News, there was more than one scarf toss - and the discarded gear resulted in ejections for the guilty fans.

Tough night for the buds, eh?!

It's one thing to throw a jersey, which is enormously expensive and shows a commitment to dissatisfaction and waste. Throwing a scarf, though? We'll defer to Mike Ehrmantraut for his opinion on half-measures.

Late in the third period, a "Let's Go Raptors" and a "Arrrrgooos" chant were heard.
