VIDEO: Thunder coach Scott Brooks leaves bench during altercation with Rockets

It was a chippy night in Oklahoma City.

The Houston Rockets prevailed over the Thunder, 69-65, in an ugly low-scoring game that became quite testy during the fourth quarter.

Patrick Beverley, who returned following a four-game absence for a hamstring injury, later got up in referee Bill Kennedy's face. Thunder coach Scott Brooks left the bench during the ensuing altercation that occurred.

It was a physical game, and Trevor Ariza throwing Steve Adams to the floor certainly contributed to it.

That wasn't it, though. Injured star Kevin Durant apparently had some choice words for Dwight Howard which will help set the stage for the next time these two teams play in January.

It'll be interesting to see if the bad blood spoils over to that contest, and the final meeting between Houston and Oklahoma City in April.

James Harden dropped 19 on his former team, while adding nine rebounds and five assists in the victory.
