The Charlotte Hornets will be without Gary Neal for Monday's home contest against the Dallas Mavericks, reports Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer

Neal left Saturday's loss to the Golden State Warriors after 11 minutes following a concussion diagnosis. The Hornets' guard hit his head on the court after taking a jumper in the second quarter of the game and didn't return.

The 30-year-old will have to undergo a series of tests before he's cleared to play again according to the NBA's standard concussion protocol.

Neal has provided the Hornets with solid production off the bench, averaging a career-high 12.2 points per game, while shooting 42.9 percent from long range.
