Melvin Gordon

Wisconsin's running back rushed for an FBS-record 408 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries before being given the fourth quarter off in the Badgers' blowout win over Nebraska.

Luckily for the Cornhuskers, Gordon was rested for the game's final frame - otherwise he had a very good shot at eclipsing 500 yards.

Underdogs

Week 12 saw plenty of upsets, as 10 underdogs left the gridiron Saturday with a win against a Top 25 team.

Northwestern beat No. 18 Notre Dame in overtime, Oregon State topped No. 6 Arizona State, No. 15 Georgia upended No. 7 Auburn, Arkansas eluded No. 17 LSU and Virginia Tech overcame No. 21 Duke.

In addition, Miami, Kansas and Washington nearly pulled off upsets against No. 3 Florida State, No. 4 TCU and No. 14 Arizona, respectively.

Chik-fil-A

Speaking of underdogs, Northwestern may have pulled off the biggest upset of the year by beating Notre Dame in South Bend. But triumphing over Everett Golson and co. wasn't the most exciting moment for the Wildcats on Saturday - a postgame meal of Chick-fil-A was.

Nebraska's defense

You know it's been a tough week when your team loses control of its division, gives up 627 yards of total offense and is only able to muster up 180 yards of its own.

It's wrong to kick a team when it's down, but the Cornhuskers have some serious soul-searching to do ahead of their game against Minnesota.

That only four teams will make the playoffs

There are only a few weeks left in the regular season, but if there's one thing to take from the first 12 weeks, it's that there are more than four elite teams.

In what has been a wide-open playoff race, most of the Top 10 (and then some) have proven that they can compete with the best teams on any given week. It's a shame that only four committee-selected teams will compete for college football's top prize.

We're unsure about

Eating a Dilly Bar in a blizzard

We know how delicious DQ's Dilly Bars are, but eating one on the sidelines during a blizzard is borderline insane.

We're not sure whether to be impressed by this man's commitment to ice cream or terrified by his standing body temperature. It's also worth noting how cold the player he's talking to looks.

Getting hit in the face by a blocked punt

It's bad enough to have your punt blocked by the opposing team, but it must be especially bad to have said punt hit you in the face after it gets blocked.

Talk about adding insult to injury.

The speculation about Florida's next head coach to end

After weeks of speculation as to who'll become SMU's next head coach, Florida announced that its head coach, Will Muschamp, will step down at season's end, igniting a fresh round of conjecture from experts who've thrown out countless names for the Gators' watch list.

While a number of high-profile names have already been tossed around, most potential candidates are still gainfully employed, and will deny their interest in the opening - at least for now.

A clear Big 12 champion

Baylor, TCU, Kansas State.

Would someone just please win this division already? The suspense is killing us.
